Excerpt One:

Shadow

My eyes rested upon the Fury as she leaned out her bedroom window looking out to the night. She appeared to be troubled as she looked around. “Aw, what’s the matter Meg?” I purred and pursed my lips then laughed inwardly knowing her rather delicious dilemma. My eyes and body hummed with excitement for what I was about to do.
Meg however, was occupied looking at something or someone I could not see with great intent.

“What are you looking at fool?” I whispered and turned to look in her direction but saw nothing. “Hm. It appears that I am missing something and yet it may not make a difference after I am done with you.” Unable to hear what she was saying or see to whom she was talking to, I hesitated to get closer. I stayed hidden in the darkness that blanketed the entire glass-like forest as I made my way to where Meg was. I didn’t need to be close to feel the waves of desire that rolled from within her. The scent was intoxicating!
The waves of sexual energy rolled out from deep inside her humming and screaming for him.

She was fighting it.

I took a moment to savor every flavor of desire that poured from every inch of her skin. “Mm, why are you fighting it? Let your “self” be free and enjoy the delicious pleasures of the forbidden. I promise you will not regret it…” I said as I licked my lips and smiled with delight. My body fed off her inner struggles filling my auric tank with the fire of desire.
Hungry for more I took a little liberty from my master’s instructions which clearly were to stay as far from the Fury as possible. I laughed out loud. “Well, he isn’t here to see how the job gets done now is he?!”

I rested my hands against a nearby tree and drank from its essence. My palms opened from the center sending sharp pain shooting up my arm. Dozens of eager vampiric tongues rushed out from the opening in my palm and pierced the tree’s trunk like thin needles .The tree moaned and complained, making some cracking sounds and strong vibrations of energy exploded from its roots.
“Sh-quiet.” I whispered, “It’s just a little so that I may get closer to her unseen. Relax, I won’t drain you dry.” I whispered guiltily.

The rush of energy immediately pumped through my veins, I smiled but for only a moment. Guilt always threatens to overwhelm me after stealing essences. Thankfully, my master is unaware of it. He would certainly punish me for being weak and pathetic if he knew.

I pushed the heavy weight of guilt aside and quickly pulled away from the tree. The trees leaves where already showing signs of my actions. Their color was flat and beginning to dull while its magical symbols pulsed faintly down its trunk.

“I am sorry.” The guilt made me say.
To my relief the tree began to regain its strength as it took in energy from the soil. To my surprise I saw the energy flow all around me and in every single creature of Nature. My eyesight grew clearer and clearer. I gasped as my eyes beheld the beautiful world that surrounded me. I turned in the direction of Meg and saw her reaching for the face of a Water Guardian. Deep inside I’ve always known stealing essences is wrong but that is all I have ever known.
Lost in my own little world I failed to see when The Elementals felt my presence and rushed towards me.

“Damn!” I cursed and uttered the first spell that popped in my head right before they tackled me down…

I wrestled with them in a whirling tornado. The Fiery Ones tried to incinerate me while the Water Guardians attempted to drown me and the Sylphs threatened to rip every inch of my flesh away! I weaved, ducked and dodged as many blows as I could avoiding their greedy grasp before drinking from some of them and stealing their essence long enough to gather the energy and strength I needed to get away. I quickly remembered the crystal sphere that rested in my right pocket with the stolen essence of the Lady Goddess. I reached for it but thought of a better alternative. I combined all the essences I had stolen with powerful waves of desire emanating from Meg into an auric bomb.
BOOM!!!

The blast took every Elemental by surprise.
“ Ha-ha-ha!” I let out a loud satisfying chuckle. Unfortunately (for me) they didn’t seem too affected by my attempt to blast them away from me. To my own surprise they didn’t flee. They just took a moment to shake it off before re-acquiring their target.
I was surrounded.

Merde!!!!

“Alright then, bring it!” I motioned with my hands as I locked my eyes with the Fire warrior that stepped out from their tactical circle and approached me. His smoldering eyes silently cautioned me to consider carefully my next move. He was beautiful, masculine and strong as he glided towards me. I bit my lower lip as my thoughts ran crazy with arousal.

“Damn it, focus!” I managed to scold myself internally.

The warrior frowned as if he could see my inner struggle. “Great.” I thought.

The rest of the Elementals began to glide counter clockwise chanting some archaic spell which hit every chakra in my body knocking all the air out of my stomach and lungs. I collapse upon my knees struggling to regain my breathing.
I closed my eyes in a feeble attempt to summon my auric energy but it fizzled and sparked without any luck of producing any sort of weapon that would aid in my escape.
